The National Empowerment Center’s mission is to carry a message of recovery, empowerment, hope and healing to people with lived experience with mental health issues, trauma, and/or extreme states. The Alternatives Conference is run by individuals with lived experience and is a national conference where hundreds of people come together to share ideas, network, and celebrate the peer movement.
