Community Resiliency Model (CRM)

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) is a Crestwood Foundational Tool that supports community wellness by providing persons served with skills that help them and the people in their personal network build resilience.

The Community Resiliency Model (CRM) is an evidence-based stabilization program that teaches individuals how to reset the natural balance of their nervous system. As persons served gain trauma-informed emotional regulation skills, they can track sensations connected to their wellness and build resilience. Through CRM, persons served learn about the impact that trauma and chronic stress have on the body and are able to share these insights with their natural supports. This process leads to trauma-informed communities that promote collective wellness. By helping the people we serve implement skills from CRM, we proactively minimize distressed communities and alleviate negative mental health symptoms associated with chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, and nervous system imbalances.
