Crestwood American River
Carmichael
Crestwood's American River campus focuses on providing socially conscious, evidence-based service practices. Through these efforts, we are committed to addressing four significant universal needs: Meaningful Roles, Spirituality, Hope, and Empowerment, all of which, serve as the foundation to our recovery strategies. To provide effective mental health care, we employ individuals that mirror our core values and offer compassionate care through various recovery modalities. To encourage transformational change in the lives of the people we serve, our staff receive training in Trauma-Informed Approaches and are dedicated to providing care that is supportive, productive, and centered on mindfulness.
As part of our recovery strategies, we include Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP). WRAP supports recovery by helping persons served develop individual, self-determined directives to address life-challenges. WRAP also promotes self-awareness, helps persons served establish goals, and supports them in taking personal responsibility for improving their own health. We also invite persons served to participate in our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program. DBT concepts and tools are introduced in classes offered at our Psychiatric Health Facility.
Programs
American River Residential Services
American River Residential Services (ARRS) is a dynamic adult residential rehabilitation treatment program licensed by Community Care Licensing (CCL). Through this program, we address the diverse needs of persons served in a cozy, homelike atmosphere and focus on providing persons served with life skills training, linkage, and community engagement opportunities that help them take on an active role in reaching their recovery potential.
At ARRS, we provide recovery and support services for up to 28 adults who benefit from around-the-clock non-medical care and supervision in a community-based environment. We emphasize building relationship with each person served to develop a rich, diverse program rooted in support that fosters growth, change, and independence. This meaningful work is delivered through recovery services that reflect a philosophy rooted in caring, compassion, kindness, dignity and respect.
