Chula Vista
Crestwood Chula Vista offers innovative programs that are based on Crestwood’s commitment to providing the people we serve a continuum of care that puts them on the road to recovery. Persons served participate in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), a self-help recovery treatment tool designed to decrease mental health symptoms, increase personal responsibility and improve quality of life. The campus also provides a versatile array of classes for persons served to participate in during their recovery program that encourages active participation in treatment planning from the moment of admission.
The mission of Crestwood Chula Vista is to offer an alternative to traditional psychiatric care by providing a recovery-oriented milieu that emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, peer providers, family partners, and a cultivated healing environment. Crestwood Chula Vista maintains the structure and support needed to promote stabilization and foster recovery. Our goal is to restore a sense of hope and self-empowerment in each person served, and help them realize their recovery potential.
Programs
Crestwood Chula Vista MHRC
At Crestwood Chula Vista, we provide individuals with access to a wide range of wellness tools and staff support to assist them in recovering with an enhanced sense of resilience. Our mission is to restore hope, empowerment, community, and psychiatric stabilization in each person served seeking help while on their recovery journey.
Community reintegration strategies and dual recovery are key tenets of our MHRC program. Our reintegration practices are designed for persons served who need help developing some of the basic life skills necessary to thrive as they return to their communities. We accomplish successful reintegration through various modalities including classes, therapy, community service, and peer mentorship. We also provide persons served with an opportunity to participate in our Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network (DEN). This network provides individuals with pre-employment training to gain professional development skills that support sustainable employment after leaving our campus. During their participation in DEN, the people we serve are able to become Dreamcatcher employees, which provides them with meaningful roles and services while being a part of our Crestwood community.
