Lompoc

The Champion Healing Center has innovative trauma-informed recovery programs that are based on Crestwood’s commitment to providing a continuum of care that puts persons served with significant mental health issues on the road to recovery. Our Lompoc campus provides services with three distinct levels of care that focus on different needs, structures, and supports. The first level, The Willows, is a program that focuses on stabilization and behavior management with Trauma-Informed Approaches for individuals needing the most acute care. The second level, Cypress, is a standard Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) program that focuses on recovery-based services, behavior self-management, supportive independent living skills, and self-advocacy. The third level, The Oaks, is an intensive Adult Residential Program that teaches persons served independent living skills to assist them in successfully returning to their communities.

Persons served at the Champion Healing Center are welcomed into our homelike, therapeutic environment and participate in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), a self-help recovery treatment system designed to decrease negative mental health symptoms, increase personal responsibility, and improve quality of life. At our Champion Healing Center, we also provides a versatile array of groups for persons served to participate in during their recovery program that encourages active participation in treatment planning from the moment of admission.

At the Crestwood Champion Healing Center, we provide individuals with access to a wide range of wellness tools and staff support to assist them in recovering with an enhanced sense of resilience. Our mission is to restore hope, empowerment, community, and psychiatric stabilization in each person served seeking help while on their recovery journey.

Community reintegration strategies and dual recovery are key tenets of our Mental Health Rehabilitation program. Our reintegration practices are designed for persons served who need help developing some of the basic life skills necessary to thrive as they return to their communities. We accomplish successful reintegration through various modalities including classes, therapy, community service, and peer mentorship. We also provide persons served with an opportunity to participate in our Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network (DEN). This network provides individuals with pre-employment training to gain professional development skills that support sustainable employment after leaving our campus. During their participation in DEN, the people we serve are able to become Dreamcatcher employees, which helps provide them with meaningful roles and services while a part of our Crestwood community.
