San Francisco
Crestwood San Francisco Healing Center is located on the 5th floor of St. Mary’s Medical Center and is the first Crestwood program in the City of San Francisco. This groundbreaking program represents a collaboration between healthcare and municipal leadership, including UC San Francisco, Dignity Health, the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, San Francisco Public Health, San Francisco Behavioral Health, and Crestwood. Crestwood San Francisco Healing Center provides innovative programs that are based on Crestwood’s commitment to providing persons served a continuum of mental health care that puts them on the road to recovery. To help persons served experience life changing progress in their well-being, we employ certified peer providers that help lead clinical treatment teams and assist persons served while on their recovery journey.
At our San Francisco campus, persons served participate in Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), a self-help, recovery treatment system that focuses on a plan that persons served create and maintain to decrease negative mental health symptoms, increase personal responsibility, and improve quality of life. Persons serve also participate in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT is an evidence-based, modified cognitive-behavioral treatment that helps prevent suicide and teaches persons served how to regulate their emotions. Alongside DBT and WRAP, Crestwood San Francisco Healing Center provides a versatile array of classes for persons served to participate in during their recovery program. These classes promote personal growth and help persons served develop skills that reinforce a healthy mindset and habits.
Programs
San Francisco Healing Center
At the Crestwood San Fracisco Healing Center, we provide individuals with access to a wide range of wellness tools and staff support to assist them in recovering with an enhanced sense of resilience. Our mission is to restore hope, empowerment, community, and psychiatric stabilization in each person served seeking help while on their recovery journey.
Community reintegration strategies and dual recovery are key tenets of our MHRC. Our reintegration practices are designed for persons served who need help developing some of the basic life skills necessary to thrive when they return to their communities. We accomplish successful reintegration through various modalities including classes, therapy, community service, and peer mentorship. We also provide persons served with an opportunity to participate in our Dreamcatchers Empowerment Network (DEN). This network provides individuals with pre-employment training to gain professional development skills that support sustainable employment after leaving our campus. During their participation in DEN, the people we serve are able to become Dreamcatcher employees, which helps provide them with meaningful roles and services while a part of our Crestwood community.
