Crestwood receives our sixth Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) Accreditation of our 24 community programs, accounting office and corporate office

San Francisco
Crestwood opens San Francisco Healing Center, a MHRC, on the 5th floor of St, Mary’s Medical Center in March 2018. This groundbreaking program represents a collaboration between healthcare and municipal leadership, including UC San Francisco, Dignity Health, the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, San Francisco Public Health, San Francisco Behavioral Health and Crestwood.

JUNE
Crisis Stabilization Unit
Crestwood opened our first Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) and services for Solano County in Fairfield on June 28th. The CSU will serve adults and children, providing a warm, loving, safe space for a person in crisis. For many, it will be the first encounter with the mental health system.

OCTOBER
Hummingbird Healing House
Crestwood San Diego’s campus, located on the former Promise Hospital site, has been totally renovated to create a beautiful, homelike environment throughout the entire building. The renovation has expanded the MHRC by 67 beds and for a total of 109 MHRC beds and created Hummingbird Healing House, a 16-bed Transitional Residential Treatment/Social Rehabilitation Program, that offers persons served a gentle place to land and a supportive place to launch with their Full-Service Provider team.

Santa Barbara Crisis Residential
In June 2019, Crestwood was proud to assume the operations of the Santa Barbara Crisis Residential. The Santa Barbara Crisis Residential campus is located in the beautiful seaside city of Santa Barbara and provides a voluntary, short-term safe place to land for persons served experiencing a psychiatric crisis.

Resilience Inc.
In July 2019, Crestwood added Resilience, Inc., a pioneer in the fast-growing field of peer-provided training and support, as part of our Crestwood family. This partnership contributes to expanding our capabilities in peer-supported approaches and training for mental health recovery for our persons served. Resilience Inc. was founded in 2015 by Gene Johnson and Dr. Lori Ashcraft and has been a leader in peer-supported training and consulting.

SEPTEMBER
Fallbrook Healing Center
In September 2019, Crestwood opened Crestwood Fallbrook Healing Center, a 132-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC), that is located in San Diego County.

OCTOBER
Champion Healing Center
Crestwood Champion Healing Center opens in Santa Barbara County, in the beautiful Central Coast city of Lompoc, “The City of Arts and Flowers."

Sonoma County Healing Center
Crestwood opens the Sonoma County Healing Center in Santa Rosa.

7th CARF Accreditation!
Crestwood received the highest-level of Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities’ (CARF) Three-Year Accreditation of our 27 community programs, accounting office and Home Office.

Not One Minute More Initiative
Crestwood launched our Not One Minute More Initiative that seeks to identify challenges to discharge, provides a set of tools, and instills a philosophy and accountability for both persons served and staff. The Not One Minute More philosophy is supported by the shift in how we work together - persons served and staff to support persons served in their recovery process so that they will return to their least restrictive environment as soon as possible.

Napa County Crisis Stabilization Services
On June 1st 2021, in partnership with Napa County Health and Human Services, Crestwood assumed operation of Napa County Crisis Stabilization Services.

NOVEMBER
Peer Employment Learning Center
In November 2022, Crestwood opened our Peer Employment Learning Center (PELC), that is located on our Crestwood San Diego campus. The PELC is a state-of-the-art learning center that is dedicated to providing training and preparation for Peer Support Specialists in the workplace, training for the supervision of peers, and organizational recovery training for Crestwood.

San Luis Obispo County PHF
Crestwood assumed operation of the San Luis Obispo County PHF.

DECEMBER
Crestwood Napa County Mobile Response Team
Crestwood began providing mobile crisis services through our Crestwood Napa County Mobile Response Team (MRT), located at our Crestwood Napa County CSS. This is Crestwood’s first MRT program and it is in partnership with Napa County Health and Human Services.

Crestwood Santa Barbara Crisis Stabilization Services
We opened Santa Barbara Crisis Stabilization Services (CSS) on May 30. The Santa Barbara CSS is funded through a partnership with the County of Santa Barbara Department of Behavioral Wellness, and it is our third Crestwood CSS program.

CARF Accreditation!
Crestwood received our 8th Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities’ (CARF) Three-Year Accreditation of our behavioral health programs and our Shoreline and Sacramento Home Offices.

NOVEMBER
Santa Barbara County Access Line
On November 15, Crestwood expanded our services with the introduction of the Crestwood Santa Barbara County Access Line, a new program that is a part of our Santa Barbara CSS program.
DECEMBER
Santa Barbara County Mobile Crisis Team
As part of our Santa Barbara CSS campus’ expanding services in Santa Barbara County, Crestwood assumed operations of the Santa Barbara County Mobile Crisis Team (MCT) on December 1.

Ponderosa Healing House
Crestwood opened Ponderosa Healing House, a 16-bed MHRC, on December 10. The Ponderosa Healing House is funded through a partnership with San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and is part of the redesigned Cordilleras Health and Healing Campus.
