Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) renews Crestwood's three-year accreditation for their 24 community programs, accounting office, and Home Office.

San Francisco MHRC
Crestwood San Francisco Healing Center opens as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) on the 5th floor of St. Mary’s Medical Center. This groundbreaking program represents a collaboration between healthcare and municipal leadership, including UC San Francisco, Dignity Health, the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, San Francisco Public Health, San Francisco Behavioral Health and Crestwood.

JUNE
Crisis Stabilization Unit
Crestwood opens their first Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Fairfield. This CSU serves Solano County and provides adults and children in crisis with a warm, loving, and safe place to land.

OCTOBER
Crestwood San Diego Renovations
Crestwood San Diego, located on the former Promise Hospital site, undergoes renovations to create a beautiful, homelike environment throughout the entire building. The renovations add 67 beds to the Mental Health Rehabilitation Center for a total of 109 beds.
Crestwood's Hummingbird Healing House, a 16-bed Transitional Residential Treatment/Social Rehabilitation program is also added to offer persons served a gentle place to land and a supportive place to launch with their Full-Service Provider team.

Santa Barbara Crisis Residential
Crestwood assumes operations of the Santa Barbara Crisis Residential, a short-term, voluntary mental health treatment program that provides a safe place to land for persons served experiencing a psychiatric crisis.

Resilience, Inc.
Resilience, Inc., a pioneer in the field of peer-provided training and support, joins Crestwood Behavioral Health. This partnership expands Crestwood's peer-supported approaches to mental health recovery.

SEPTEMBER
Fallbrook Healing Center
Crestwood Fallbrook Healing Center opens as a 132-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) located in San Diego County.

Crestwood Becomes a Public Benefit Corporation
Crestwood is deeply committed to creating a positive impact on society and the environment. This value is integrated into every area of the company’s operations and is the reason we elected to become a public benefit corporation, often referred to as a “B Corp”. Champion Healing Center
Crestwood Champion Healing Center opens as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) in Lompoc, a beautiful Central Coast city in Santa Barbara County.

Napa County Crisis Stabilization Services
In partnership with Napa County Health and Human Services, Crestwood assumes operations of Napa County Crisis Stabilization Services.

Sonoma County Healing Center
Crestwood Sonoma County Healing Center opens as a Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF).

AUGUST
Not One Minute More Initiative
Crestwood launches the Not One Minute More Initiative to identify challenges to discharge, provide recovery tools, and instill a philosophy of accountability for persons served and staff. This initiative also supports persons served in their recovery process so they can return to a less restrictive recovery environment as soon as possible.

Peer Employment Learning Center
Crestwood opens the Peer Employment Learning Center (PELC) at Crestwood San Diego. The PELC is a state-of-the-art learning center that is dedicated to providing training for Peer Support Specialists in the workplace, supervision of peers, and organizational recovery training for Crestwood.

San Luis Obispo County PHF
Crestwood assumes operations of the San Luis Obispo County Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF).

Crestwood Napa County Mobile Response Team
In partnership with Napa County Health and Human Services, Crestwood begins providing mobile crisis services through the Crestwood Napa County Mobile Response Team (MRT), located at Crestwood Napa County CSS. This MRT program is the first of its kind at Crestwood.

Crestwood Santa Barbara Crisis Stabilization Services
Crestwood opens Santa Barbara Crisis Stabilization Services (CSS). The Santa Barbara CSS is funded through a partnership with the County of Santa Barbara Department of Behavioral Wellness, and it is the third Crestwood CSS program.

8th CARF Accreditation!
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) renews Crestwood's three-year accreditation for their behavioral health programs, Shoreline Home Office, and Sacramento Home Office.

Santa Barbara County Access Line
Crestwood expands their services with the introduction of the Crestwood Santa Barbara County Access Line, a new program that is a part of their Santa Barbara CSS campus.
DECEMBER
Santa Barbara County Mobile Crisis Team
To expand their services in Santa Barbara County, Crestwood assumes operations of the Santa Barbara County Mobile Crisis Team (MCT).

Ponderosa Healing House
Crestwood opens Ponderosa Healing House, a 16-bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC). The Ponderosa Healing House is funded through a partnership with San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services and is a part of the redesigned Cordilleras Health and Healing campus.

San Francisco Geary Stabilization Unit
Crestwood opens the San Francisco Geary Stabilization Unit which provides immediate care for people in the local community who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.This unique program represents a collaboration between the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) and Crestwood.
